19 complaints from fire suspects in Kocani, BPPO has appealed to Appeal for two mayors
The Basic Court in Kocani acted on 22 appeals filed by suspects of the fire in Kocani, which rejected 19 complaints and the « detention » measure remains, while former mayors Ratko Dimitrievski and Nikolco Iliyev and former director of the State Market Inspectorate.
-Following the 24 declaration of detention, 22-two-two complaints from the suspects were filed. The appeals were acted on by the Council of three judges (referred to in Article 25 paragraph 5 of the LCP) of the Kocani Basic Court and decided on the 19-nave suspected appeal to reject and remain the detention measure, while the 3-three suspected detention was replaced by house arrest, and in accordance with Article 144. 146 paragraph 1 t. 3 of the LCP is a precautionary measure -temporary seizure of a road or other document to cross the state border, ie prohibition on its issuance -explain today by the Basic Court in Kocani.
Against the decision of the Kocani Basic Court to replace the detention with house arrest for the two former mayors, appeals were filed by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office before the Court of Appeal in Stip.

The current mayor of Kocani remains in custody, Ljupco Papazov, who resigned after the tragedy in Kocani that killed 59 people and injured about 200.
