150,000 delayed issues from 2017. For whom did we make the reform? For the European Commission or for our citizens?

Lawyer Bledi Dervishi sheds light on one of the most serious problems of Albanian justice: about 150,000 unfinished issues waiting since 2017, touching indirectly or directly two -thirds of the population.

Invited to the ‘Task Force’ show on Eye TV, with Sonila Mecho, the lawyer asked the question: « For whom did we make the reform? For the European Commission or for our citizens? » The purpose of the reform, as Dervishi explains, was to create an effective justice system, just and clean of corruption. But the reality is different, the delays are huge, there are no mechanisms or institutional responsibilities to solve this problem, and citizens continue to suffer from a system that leaves them in anticipation for years.

Bledi Dervishi: 150,000 issues late, wait from 2017. There are two pairs involved, not to say two or more. That is, 2/3 of our population is affected by the system of our justice and expects solutions to a particular issue. But why, for whom did we make the reform? For the European Commission?

For which of the international bodies we carried out in the reform. We performed because he needed, and accepted by all our citizens in order to have effective, fair, at the same time objective justice and to avoid and bring out the people who were corrupt.

That was the purpose of the reform?: Yes.

Did we do this?: We have not accomplished it, years pass and stock carries and I see no mechanism and any constitutional obligation or institution to take initiatives to address this for a solution.

The rest is what everyone suffers in civil courts, administrative not to say then criminals where people wait, so is the truth. They have passed away and lives, they have not affected with their own hand the justice given by the first instance in 2017 and to end in the High Court in 2025.
