15 new restaurants in the « Bib Gourmand » for Belgium and Luxembourg

15 new restaurants in the « Bib Gourmand » for Belgium and Luxembourg

A week before the excited star ceremony to the best restaurants in Luxembourg and Belgium, the editorial team of the « Guide Michelin » has now announced the new sponsors of the « Bib Gourmand » award for 2024. A total of 15 restaurants have secured the coveted entry in the renowned gastro guide. These offer at least one menu at least at the lunch table and in the evening – mostly consisting of starter, main course and dessert – at a fair price.

A small downer for Luxembourg: As in the past year, no kitchen from the Grand Duchy as a newcomer made it into the « BIB Gourmand ».

« A real soul »

« We congratulate the restaurateurs who know how to combine culinary top quality with a good price-performance ratio. This remains a real challenge, especially in the current time. Some time ago we have abolished the demand for a maximum price and a fixed menu, which has become even more diverse for the » Bib Gourmand « . However, all award winners have a unique quality: the ability to breathe a real soul into their dishes, ”says the press release of the“ Guide Michelin ”.

Particularly noteworthy is the strong presence from neighboring Wallonia, which impressed with seven new additions. But there were also five or three new entries from Flanders and the Brussels area, which reflect the commitment of the restaurateurs there.

These restaurants are new:

  • « Lune Siamoise » (Ixelles)

  • « Babam » (Watermael-Boisfort)

  • « Au Repos de la Montagne » (UCCLE)

  • « Wan Thai Food » (Châtelet)

  • « La Maison Thai » (ouffet)

  • « Table et vin » (Mont-sur-Marchienne)

  • « La Petite Gayole » (Thuillies)

  • « Émulsion » (Floriffoux)

  • « Sébastian » (Liège)

  • « Bagù » (Thuin)

  • « And/Or » (Antwerp)

  • « Eppo » (Berchem)

  • « Jacobin » (Bruges)

  • « Taberna Bask » (Ledeberg)

  • « The Fox » (Audenarde)

The « Bazaar » restaurant on the Knuedler was the last newcomer from Luxembourg to make it into the guestroot. The critics of the restaurant in 2023 described the Mediterranean dishes of the restaurant as particularly recommended for « a well -groomed meal among friends or with the family ».
