Very dear friends,
Today is 100 days from my imprisonment without any reasonable justification. My unfair and arbitrary detention continues, though I have not been charged with any criminal offense. As a consequence, I am strongly stumbled by the exercise of my duties as elected mayor, with a massive vote 3 times, of the Municipality of Tirana.
The continuation of this detention is not only an attack on me and my family, but it is also an unnecessary and unprofitable intervention in fulfilling the public tasks entrusted to me by the citizens of Tirana. Despite imprisonment, I remain inflexible. Every day that passes, it strengthens my determination even more. My commitment to Tirana, to you, to democracy, the rule of law and the future of Albania remains unwavering.
I will continue to follow all the legal ways to secure my release in order to continue serving our wonderful city as your mayor.
With longing and love for each of you!
